Part of the "You Complete Me" Series. This is a portrait of a couple I met in Cambodia. The husband was from Nigeria and the wife was from Japan. Based on their interview I constructed a birch panel canvas that simulated the movement of to land masses pushing against eachother creating equal crested peaks. When viewed from below or above the resulting peaks outline an equilibrium wave.
